I believe that the course Personal Finance 101, directly respects our University’s mission. Personal Finance is defined as the financial decisions and activities of an individual or household. This also includes budgeting, insurance programs, and future planning such as retirement, mortgage and savings planning. Lamar University students will be able to increase their knowledge of inflation, risk, and the power of interest compounding. Lamar University students will be able to gain a substantial understanding on how to properly assess their current financial position.
